The "Noia cockle" is a seal of distinction that identifies it as the finest cockle in the world.

This shellfish grows in the Ría de Noia under exceptional conditions, thanks to both the geological and climatic characteristics of the area and the harvesting method, which respects its natural growth and limits catches to just a few months each year. The collection is carried out using traditional techniques, combining shellfishing afloat, with small boats, and shellfishing on foot, a task performed almost entirely by women.

This preserve contains 30 to 40 carefully selected pieces of the finest Noia cockles.
